Eligibility
Film Hackathon is designed for aspiring and emerging filmmakers without access to the industry or a traditional film school path. It is particularly suited to:
- Aspiring producers, production managers, cinematographers, line producers & crew
- Creatives seeking practical on-set experience over academic theory
- People from non-traditional or underrepresented backgrounds
- Artists and content creators moving into narrative filmmaking
- Anyone committed to collaboration, discipline, and hands-on learning

Course guide — 24 sessions
2 sessions per day, two days a week. Each session is 2 hours with a 30 min break in between. Dates TBD.

Sessions 3–4 Producing and Production Team
Understanding the market, emerging trends, Deck & Pitch building
Sessions 5–6 Writing for film
Story Development & Coverage, treatments, scripts, and industry-standard screenplay formatting.
Sessions 7–8 Directing & AD Department
Interpreting scripts, working with actors, camera collaboration, and live directing demonstrations.
Sessions 9–10 Pre Production
Developing ideas, securing finance, assembling teams, scheduling & budgeting
Sessions 11–12 Production Management
Scheduling, logistics, budgeting, equipment, health & safety, and crew breakdown
Sessions 13–14 Lighting Intensive
Cinematic lighting techniques, mood creation, and low-budget lighting solutions.
Sessions 15–16 Storyboarding
Shot planning, previsualisation, and efficient production preparation.
Sessions 17–18 Production Design
Props, costume, make-up, staging, and visual storytelling through the frame.
Sessions 19–20 Post Production Workflow
Editing, Sound Designing, VFX & SFX Workflow
Sessions 21–22 Distribution Strategies and Marketing
Festivals, Marketing, Sales Agents, Streaming Platforms, and self-distribution models.
Sessions 23–24 Onset Etiquette & Showcase
